The principal focus will be on some ideas i have been developing concerning the processes underlying what I have come to term the Internalization of “benign vs. malignant individualism” their derivation from both cultural and psychogenic identifications and their impact on and interest in, and desire for committed as opposed to momentary involvement with a autonomous subjective other.. Screening of the film. Up in the Air will be used to illustrate the issues
